In his encyclical on “Christ’s Faithful People” Pope John Paul II said,
“The Parish is not principally a structure, a territory or a building, but rather, the family of God, a fellowship afire with a unifying spirit, a familiar and welcoming home, and a community of the faithful.”
The parish of St Joseph & St. Margaret Clitherow in Bracknell is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth and belongs to the South Berkshire Pastoral Area.
The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) is a group of lay parishioners appointed by the Parish Priest to share responsibility in strategically driving forward parish renewal following the ‘maintenance to mission’ principles of Divine Renovation (Fr. James Mallon) and to work together with the parish community across areas of parish and community life, empowering parish groups to thrive in their ministry.
Our Mission
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.
And remember I am with you always to the end of time”.
Matthew 28:16-20
Our Vision
To be with Christ
To deepen our relationship with Him
To be sent by Him to relieve the suffering of others.
Our Purpose
We grow together as disciples who joyfully live out the mission of Jesus Christ.
